French government plan to ‘label’ news outlets backfires spectacularly

Bruno Retailleau, the leader of the Republicans, has now launched a petition entitled “Media: Yes to Freedom, No to Labeling!” which garnered over 40,000 signatures. Éric Ciotti, now allied with the National Rally, published his own petition shortly thereafter, reaching the same number.
